BOOK REVIEW

Tales of the Celestial Kingdom by Sue Lynn Tan is a novella compiling short stories from the novels, Daughter of the Moon Goddess and Heart of Sun Warrior. It’s nice reading about these characters again after a long time especially with the accompanying illustrations which are absolutely stunning.

I like the earlier chapters because they’re mostly familiar characters and ones I have fond memories of when I read Daughter of the Moon Goddess sometime ago. It’s also a nice companion to read to with the novels as they’re just lighthearted.

It’s really such a bonus to have illustrations in this novella. Each one of them is so pretty and it makes me eager to look for the next ones.

All in all, it’s great to be back in the Celestial Kingdom and I recommend you to pick up this book.
