Although hiding a dead body is going to be harder than they thought, especially when their family business has its biggest event yet – and at a hotel that just happens to be managed by Meddy’s ex boyfriend, Nathan, aka the one that got away.
Dial A For Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto is a laugh out loud romantic comedy with a big twist featuring a murder, nosy aunties and set during the weekend of what must be the wedding of the century. I absolutely love every moment I was reading this book and I wish it could go on and on, I just love it so much. This is definitely the book you shouldn’t miss out on!
I really love everything about this book and the premise is so strong that it even manages to grip my entire attention span throughout the book. Please, I think we can all establish the fact that it was never going a good idea to get Meddy’s aunties involved with the disposal of the body but they definitely made the situation so much more chaotic, hilarious and better.
I love all the characters, every single one. Especially the Chans and that even includes Nathan. I mean, he’s so precious and so in love with Maddy which makes him the perfect main love interest. I was totally rooting for them the entire way.
I also love that the author has incorporated a lot of her own culture and customs as Chinese-Indonesian. I hope she writes even more books highlighting it proudly in the future because I am certainly picking it up.
I am so proud to say that I have found a new mystery author that I love with all my heart. Jesse writes splendidly and always manages to make me surprised by the turn of events her books would go and it is truly such a treat everytime. You could even check out her YA, Mystery book, The Obsession.
I seriously have never laughed so much while reading a book as much as I did with this one and I am so glad that this book arrived at the right time where my surrounding is the total opposite. This is the kind of read i needed at the moment and I hope everyone would pick up this book too. It will make you laugh and agitate along with the characters as they go through the wedding while hoping desperately to hide and dispose of a dead body.
